liposuction johannesburg

i'm dr. natasha moscato, at the victorian cosmetic institute. today we're going to talk to about tca cross tca cross stands for trichloroacetic acid chemical reconstruction of skin scars. tca cross is used to treat acne scarring, in particular pitted acne scarring. we perform the procedure by dipping a toothpick in to 100 % tca, and then placing it in to the individual acne scars. so this procedure causes reorganization of the collagen and thickening of the dermis. so the indented scar is lifted up to the normal level of the skin. so now we're going to perform a tca cross on this patient and she's concerned with some acne scarring particularly on her cheeks. so also of note is that tca cross can be used safely on darker skin types. unlike some other procedures such as laser resurfacing or skin peels.

so now what we're going to do is dip the toothpick in to the 100 % tca and wipe off any excess tca, so that we can be very specific in our placement. as you can see some frosting up of that area that has been treated. so after the procedure one can expect to have some small scabs forming on the skin which can take up to a week to peel off. so in summary tca cross is a localized acne scar treatment for all skin types. so normally multiple sessions are required, about two months apart for the optimal results.
