traditional liposuction, way back when liposuction originally started, did not include any infiltration. it did not include any placement of fluid in the tissue. so, the biggest thing is that we now do, at the very least, something called tumescent liposuction, in which we infiltrate or put in fluid prior to removal of fat. what all that means is, we are now removing a lot less blood at the same time
as we are removing fat. now come along other energies that we use in terms of liposuction. all the energy devices that we use, whether it is laser or ultrasonic energy or radio frequency energy, essential part of it remains that we are still removing fat from the area. and in her case we're going to do some laser, not only to burn the fat cells and multiply them and basically break them up, but also to tighten her skin. but, at the same time we are still going to do
what i'm doing now, which is power assisted or traditional liposuction, to remove those fat cells. so, that is an integral part of any liposuction.
