liposuction how much weight

hi! it’s dr. farkas at the breslow center. i want to talk to you a little bit about liposuctionand the technique we use at the breslow center in order to get you the best result we possiblycan. dr. breslow and i typically utilize a techniquecalled safe liposuction, using a microaire power-assisted liposuction tool with a basketcannula to help equalize the fat distribution. this helps build better body contouring andsloping, and really avoids contour deformities which can happen with some of the more gimmickyliposuction techniques like smart lipo or laser-assisted lipo.

liposuction is not a weight loss tool, sothe most important thing to consider when you are planning to undergo liposuction isthat you are really trying to be at your ideal body weight, not a starvation weight or anunrealistic expectation. if you’re not at the ideal weight, whatwill happen overtime is with a little bit of weight gain you will decrease your overallresults, and also your body when it gains weight, it needs to gain weight in certainareas. so some of the fat which is left behind - whichis obviously necessary for optimal body contour - can get larger in different areas. if you do see some weight gain after a liposuction,it’s definitely going to cause a decrease

in your overall result because your body hasto respond to some of that weight gain, and will gain it in certain places. your body may then gain it in the other placesas opposed to the areas where you had the liposuction and contouring to, because thosefat cells need to enlarge and extend in size in order to maintain some of what your bodyis doing to gain some of that weight. anyway, i hope to see you soon at the breslowcenter, and i hope that this information was helpful.
