using a girdle is one of the most effective ways of ensuring best results after liposuction and tummy tucks. yes, girdles can be annoying. they are tight and often times uncomfortable, but it is a necessary evil of beauty. girdles should be worn for about 3 to 4 months after the procedure. you need to know that the customary swelling and bruising, hardness, and lumpiness of a tummy tuck are not going to be resolved within a week. scar formation will continue as well and the healing process will progress even if you do not see it. do note that internal scarring will also occur around the soft tissues that were surgically excised, corrected, and enhanced.
